Chris Moon says:
"An essential CD for those into the outsider NZ 'pop' scene--you know, the one that includes the likes of This Kind of Punishment, Pin Group, Victor Dimisich Band/Terminals, Wreck Small Speakers on Expensive Stereos...
In fact, if you know the Xpressway sound (that label Bruce Russell ran back in the day) you should know what to expect here.
That SHOULD translate for most of you as: Really fucking great. Buy now. Add to cart. Etc.
But not everyone thinks like I do. Milton's music comes just half a decade too late to be part of the classic Xpressway sound, but it is totally there. In my world this is what pop music would sound like!"

GreatShitRecords.com presents the debut chef-d'oeuvre delivered up by Kiwi art-rock malevolents MajikPixieJuice (MPJ).
This 10 track digipak is a limited release featuring three singles – Falling, Mangakino & the latest Brian, which prognosticates the fall of mankind and the takeover of terra firma by Pseudocheirus Peregrines (possums!)
Where did it all begin? Let me tell you a story…Once upon a time, secreted in his mountainous lair, Hellcat Anderssen kept the company of only wolverines and malcontents. A changeling by nature; the flaccid music scene of imbeciles and sycophants had left his soul drained of creativity. Hardly an ounce of spirit remained. But that was all Hellcat needed - that ounce and Unkl Ziggy’s Lithuanian cinnamon whisky.
The advancement of the nouveau riche was encroaching the Eden Hellcat had created and he knew his duty was to protect the domain of the forest creatures he called ‘brothers’. Unsuspecting the wreckoning he was about to unleash, Hellcat plugged in his guitar and wound the amp past 10.
Standing atop that blackened stump he howled at the full moon which quivered in a shroud of early evening blue.
The howl waned to a low growl and the mountain on which Hellcat stood rumbled beneath his moccasined feet. As if in answer to his befoul chorale, Mother Earth’s bowels were stirred and a gush of Majik Pixie Juice spewed forth from the deepest recesses of Te Mata Ruru (the giant owl).
Hellcat, feeling the draw of mega-stardom, drank from the torrid trough as MPJ flowed down the mountain-side. It consumed his very essence and from that moment on the Human formerly known as Hellcat Anderssen became MajikPixieJuice!
“Distortation on, distortation off!” was the cry from the wildebeests heralding the vociferous cacophony of He who was now MajikPixieJuice. The wave of sound flowed like an unchecked tide across the valley and no-one, save those sworn to His inner circle, was trusted with the vital role of performing in this socio-muzikal experiment.
Never venturing further than the confines of their mountain retreat, the MPJ infectees have frolicked aurally with many a weary traveller. Those unfortunate souls, unwittingly abducted by its perversely persuasive effect, have joined with the startled critters that once peered from beneath dew encrusted foliage and wished they too could have remained lost and alone in their turbulessence.
Caught in the vile stench of MPJ they can but writhe and moan in that valley on top of the world as those heathen forces drain the core of their collective existence.
Thus it has begun. The musical ensemble, MajikPixieJuice, espousing the virtues of non-violent conflict resolution and animal protection rights has proffered this collection of melodies, beats and rhymes. Listen closely with intent to their teaching of the hidden knowledge wrought from the Possum Liberation Front.
This cannot end “Happily Ever After!” Thank-you and good-bite!
